Data and control

Privacy Policy

Daxhboard is a read-only quota and status tool for Apple platforms. It uses your own Mac and iCloud account without a developer-operated data server.

Effective date: July 12, 2026

Overview

Daxhboard uses your own Mac to read quota information from the locally signed-in ChatGPT/Codex service. It syncs a minimized quota snapshot through your own iCloud Key-Value Store to devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

Information we do not collect

Data on your devices and in iCloud

OpenAI and Apple services

Your OpenAI sign-in state is managed by the official ChatGPT/Codex app or sign-in flow on your Mac. Daxhboard does not take custody of OpenAI credentials. OpenAI and Apple apply their own privacy policies to their respective services.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Daxhboard may use the minimized snapshot to provide local quota or status alerts. You can disable notification permission at any time in system settings.

Data deletion

You can choose “Sign Out and Delete All Data” in Daxhboard settings. The mobile app asks the Mac Host through iCloud to delete local and cloud Daxhboard snapshots and stop monitoring. A deletion marker without account information tells other devices to clear their caches. If the Mac Host is offline, the request remains until the Host next runs. Signing out of OpenAI or ChatGPT must still be completed in the official app or website.

Children’s privacy

Daxhboard is not designed to collect personal data from children and does not use a developer-controlled account or data service.
